Vår första gäst i Specialkaffekalendern kommer från kafferosteriet Origo i Rumänien, de berättar om sig och kaffet de valt:

This is the 4th year that we’re bringing this coffee to our roastery. The story begins in 2019, when the farmer caught our attention during a cupping. The coffee was charming and so was the farmer’s story, so we quickly bought 2 whole green coffee bags. 4 years later, we continue to work closely with Aura Eliza Nupan. 

The taste of this coffee gradually reveals itself, with notes of strawberries, brown spice and melon. The acidity brings sweetness in cup, while the body elegantly surrounds the taste buds. This coffee is velvety, round, rich, delicate. 

When roasting the coffee, we aim to protect the native quality of the bean – clean, sweet, complex. At  Origo Roastery, we are working daily with Loring Smart Roaster, the technology that allows us to merge talent with knowledge in order to precisely obtain the exact taste profile that we are aiming for.
